Cinesite’s seventh film in the Marvel franchise, Black Widow is a prequel which follows the events of Captain America: Civil War. Having aided and abetted the Avengers who were against the Sokovia Accords, Natasha Romanoff finds herself alone on the run from the government and forced to confront her past.
In contrast with the other-worldly effects created for previous Avengers films, Cinesite’s VFX for Black Widow was terrestrial, ranging from helicopters to cars, a laboratory and a prison.
Pulse sports drama reveals the story about young Ukrainian track and field athlete Oksana Boturchuk. Due to a terrible car accident, the girl suffers grave injuries and almost loses her eyesight. However, the girl is not going to give up, and she wins a gold medal at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing.
A variety of VFX work was completed with over 270 shots delivered for the show – ranging from CG Street builds, snow and weather enhancements and set extensions.
For the third episode of Loki, Digital Domain created a hazy purple atmosphere, photorealistic CG meteors, explosions and fiery rocks to bring the dying planet, Lamentis, and its moon, Lamentis-1, to life. The team also added some VFX magic to the city of Shuroo and digitally built the Arc.
